Locate air inlet cover plate on fireplaces outer surround. Remove screws and plate.
Cut out any visible insulation that may obstruct airflow.
Extend flex duct to attach air inlet tube.
Insert inner tab of inlet tube into slot next to opening. Place outer tab of inlet tube over hole next to opening.
Secure with screws removed from cover plate in step 1.
Construct a 8" x 8" inside framing or opening on exterior wall.
Install outside air vent termination in a location that would not eventually be obstructed by bushes, snow or other obstructions. Locate vent near fireplace to make flex duct installation easier.
8. The flex duct supplied measures approximately 10" compressed and up to 3 feet extended.
