Bias- A systematic (built-in) error that makes all of the values wrong by a certain
amount.


Box and whisker plot- A quartile graph that displays the mean, median and
both extremes of a data set.


Data- Information

Distribution- The way information or data is spread or shown.



Inferences- A conclusion based upon evidence and reasoning.

Median- The middle portion of a data set.

Mean absolute deviation- The measure of how much difference there is in a
data set from the average.


Measures of center- The value at the middle of a data set.

Mode- The number in a data set that appears most often

Population- The whole group from which a sample is taken.

Random sampling- A sample that is chosen with random intentions and
without biases.


Range- The difference between the highest and lowest result in a data set.

Representative sample- A sample population that accurately reflects the
entire population.


Variation- The amount that something changes.
