Event Ad
Description: A full color event ad advertising a made up event
of choice using only Microsoft Word to design.
Programs: I used Microsoft Word and an Epson scanner.
Date: January 30, 2016
Course and Section: Visual Media,
Section 3
Instructor: Ben Pingel
Objectives: Learning how to use color schemes and Microsoft
Word to create an Event Ad of some sort.
Process: I scanned in an image of a skiier. Then,I used a
background eliminator tool to erase the background of the image.
Then, I created all of my shapes. After deciding on a color
scheme, I used the eye dropper tool to take the exact colors
from my image and use them in my boxes on the rest of the
ad. I then picked a grungy font for the title to go with the feel
of the skiing/boarding vibe. I picked a simple serif font for the
information text. I grouped similar information together and then
equally spaced. I then made sure to align everything.
