Good Morning Class!

Students Activity

Good Morning sir.

Please all stand for the

opening prayer. Mr.________
please led the prayer.

(Students will pray)

(student) In the name of the Father, the
Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Class before you seat

down, please pick up the pieces
of dirt under your chair and
arrange your chairs properly.

Yes, Sir!
(students will pick up pieces of dirt and
arrange their seats properly)

Ms. Secretary, do we have

absentees?

(Secretary) None sir!

Checking of
attendance

Checking of
assignment

Recall of past
lesson

Thats good.

Did I give you an assignment

last meeting?
Ok, since we have an
assignment, later we are going
to use the materials for our
activity for today.

(Students) Yes, Sir!

Who can recall of what we have

done last meeting?

(Student 1) last meeting we discussed

about on how to get the frequency and
wavelength of a certain electromagnetic
waves.
(student 2) sir, the equation of EM
waves is c=f

Very good, again what is the

equation of electromagnetic
waves?
What is the value of speed of
light in a vacuum?

Ok, sir

(Student 3) the value of speed of light in

a vacuum is 3 x 108 m/s

How about the formula for

getting the energy?

(Student 4) sir, we have the E=hf where

the f is the frequency of EM waves and
h is the Plancks constant which has a
value of 6.63 x 10-34 J/s

Again, what is the relationship

of wavelength, frequency and
energy?

(Student 5) the relationship of

wavelength and frequency, they are
inversely proportional and with regards
about to the relationship of frequency
and energy, they are directly
proportional.

Motivation
Thank you for that wonderful
retention, I am hoping that you
will never forget that.
Lets have some fun. I will
divide you into 2 groups kindly
count 1 to 2. Group 1 will
occupy the left portion of the
room and the group 2 will
occupy the right portion of the
room. I give you vertical word
then you are going to think any
related words, phases or
sentences. I will give you 5
minutes to do the activity.
Afterwards each group must
present their work.
The word is
T
R
A

Yes sir!

The student will count 1 to 2

The time starts now!

Our topic for this morning is all

about radio waves
Ok, based from the activity that
we have done, how
transmission is related to radio
waves?

The students will do the activity

Before we proceed to our topic

lets have first our learning
objectives
Please read Mr._______________

Unlocking
difficulties
Ok, thank you these
objectives will be our goal for
this day and we need to
achieve and attain it
profoundly through you full
cooperation and collaboration.
Ok, as we go on with our
discussion we will be
encountering unfamiliar words
Which are : please read Ms.
___

(Student) At the end of the discussion,

the students are expected to:
1. identify materials that can block or
allow radio waves to pass through
2. compare the speed of
electromagnetic waves through
different materials
3. relate the importance of radio waves
in real life situation

(The student will read)

Antenna, also referred to as an aerial,
device used to radiate and receive radio
waves through the air or through space.
Antennas are used to send radio waves
to distant sites and to receive radio
waves from distant sources
Waveband- band of radio frequencies:
a range of radio frequencies within
which transmissions occur

Activity

Transmission- the process of sending

electrical signals to a radio television,
computer and etc.
Ok thank you, these terms will
be used in our discussion for us
to understand more about the
topic.

To start with our topic lets have Ok, sir

an activity which entitled Now
you go! , now you wont!
Since I already grouped you last
meeting. i will just clarify the
direction
the group 1 will occupy the left
side portion of the room while
the group 2 will occupy the right
portion of the room, and group
3 at back portion of the room
Each group must have a leader
and presenter. afterwards each
group presenter will present the
group work
I will give you an activity sheet
for you to be guided accordingly
For you to be guided with your
presentation or performance, I
have here rubrics for the basis
of your points. Heres the
rubrics
Kindly read our rubrics

Analysis
I will give you ten (10) minutes
to do and answer the activity
Do you have any question?
Ok, since none
Lets proceed the time starts
now
Lets check your work
Based from the activity
In which materials does the RC
car work quickly?

(student)Sir based from the activity

The RC car work quickly on the plastic
wrapper material
(student)Because we all know that
plastic wrapper is transparent so that
the transmission of the electrical signal
from the remote to the RC car is easy to
pass through
(student)The RC car doesnt work
quickly on the aluminium foil material

Why is that so?

Abstraction
In which materials doesnt the
RC car work quickly?
Why is that so?

Why television has blurred

image when the antenna is not
connected?

Application

Why do we need to get outside

the antenna with high altitude
of our television/ why not
inside?

Generalizati
on
Aside from the television, what
do you think the other
application of radio waves?
Ok thank you very good!
Now, who can sum up of what
we have discussed this
morning?

Values
integration

Evaluation

Ok, this time I have a question,

how can you relate the concept
of radio waves in our real life
situation?

(student)Because Sir, the aluminium foil

of shiny cover so that some waves are
hardly to pass though so that as we can
observe from the activity the RC car
cant transmit
Signal from the remote.
(student)Because, sir there is slight
occurring of transmission of electrical
signal therefore we need an antenna to
transmit electrical signals accordingly to
have huge transmission of signal being
needed to have clear view of image.
(student)Because, if we get outside our
antenna high altitude, it can transmit
electrical signal easily so that the
tendency of the television will receive
strong signal which can make the view
clearly.
(student) Sir the other application of
radio waves is in the field of satellite
because it can use to transmit picture,
sound and information over long
distance.

(student) sir, we discussed about radio

waves we also found out the materials
that can be worked quickly and cant be
worked quickly defending upon to
compressibility and other properties of
the certain material. And also we know
about the other application of radio
waves not only on RC car and television
but also in the other field.
(student) I can relate the concept of
radio waves in our real life situation by
considering the fact that we dont need
to rely with our own capacity and ability
sometimes we need to know our
weaknesses in life and believe to the
strength of others so therefore we can
have strong foundation.

Yes, Sir

Since you already know the

concepts about radio waves

Kindly get sheet of paper

We will be having a short quiz

assignment

(The students will answer the quiz)

1-3 based from the activity

identify materials that can
block the radio waves to pass
through
4-6 based from the activity
identify materials that can
allow the radio waves to pass
through
7-10 in your own words relate
the importance of radio waves
in our real life situation

Ok for our assignment

Please copy the following on
your notebook
