INTRODUCTION OF THE ORGANIZATION

Gorkha Brewery (P) Ltd. was established in 1989 with a joint

collaboration between leading Nepali business house Khetan
Group and the Danish multinational company Carlsberg.

Situated at Mukundapur in Nawalparasi is the most modern,

environment friendly and picturesque brewery in Nepal.

Tuborg, was launched in May 1990 - the first-ever international

brand introduced in Nepal. It was followed by Carlsberg in
1995.

Over the past 15 years, it has grown to become the market

leader holding more than 80% share of Nepals beer market.

BOTTLENECKS IN MANUFACTURING

The bottle neck of a system is the element (node or edge)

that limits the system in attaining higher throughput
beyond a certain threshold.

This threshold is determined by the bottlenecks physical

throughput capacity, organizational rules, or operational
practices.

Equipment for manufacturing should meet the current

demand. The machines and equipment should be flexible
to expand in order to meet future demand, but some
times due to inappropriate planning, break down of
machine, unavailability of spare parts, improper
maintenance, low level of infrastructure machines and
equipments becomes a constraint of manufacturing.
