BODY OF LESSON/INSTRUCTION:
After discussing which animals live on a farm to motivate the
children, I will do the sounds that each animals make and sing one
line of the song at a time and have the children repeat each line and
motions. Then we will sing all of the song together twice or more
times if the children are interested. As we sing the song I will ask a
child to put the picture of the animal on the flannel board. I will ask
the assessment questions.
ASSESSMENT S:
After singing the song 2-3 times, I will ask the children:
1.
What sound does a cow make?
2.
What sound does a pig make?
3.
What sound does a sheep make?
4.
What sound does a horse make?
5.
What sound does a chicken make?
6.
What sound does a goat make?
7.
Are there any other animals that live on a farm?
Reflection of Teaching:
Discuss What You Learned from Teaching This Lesson by Responding
to 2-3 of the Questions:
Did you meet your learning goal?
Yes, the children helped sing along and make the animal sounds.
What were the challenges with logistics and management & how
were they reconciled?
Some of the children would lose interest. So I would call on them next and
ask what animal would make what noise.
What was fun for you/or what was of concern for you?
It was fun to see the children sing along and make the animal sounds.
List a particular instance that was revealing to you about the
students level of understanding.
When I would pick a child and then pick a animal and then ask the child what
sound does the animal make. And the child would tell me.
