9.No. of Lessons: 8.
Students who regularly attend mass or practice their Christian faith may be familiar with prayers, gospel
readings, parables, hymns, sacraments and certain terminology but they may not be familiar with the
specific information regarding the foundations of Christianity. Students may also be questioning their faith
as they progress through adolescence and may be curious to find out how the religion (if Christianity) that
they believe in was formed. Students might also have an informal knowledge on the topics presented in
this section from sources such as family, friends and media involved in their everyday lives, experiences,
interests, literature and various external influences. I acknowledge that students may have varied abilities
within the classroom and plan to differentiate my lessons according to their individual needs e.g. creating
stimulating activities for advanced learners and adding larger text to PowerPoint presentations for those
with visual difficulties such as dyslexia or visual comprehension disorder. Students will also have prior
knowledge from their previous lessons from Semester 1.
