Hi there

I have one of these to learn on

so Far I have learnt the following
1. get some spare props, you will need them (GoodLuckBuy seems to be the cheapest for
sets of 4)
2. make sure the props are the right way round, the manual isn't clear buT the yellow tube
and the opposite one go CCW so the props are EP-7035x3 ( the others are EP-7035xR3)
3. IMPORTANT make sure the screws are tightened and all the motors are horizontal, any at
a slight angle will just make it veere off in a direction
4. connect the battery while its flat, its fiddly but the gyros must be set while its flat on the
ground otherwise the gyros don't work right. wait for the final 2 bleeps
5. I've taken off all trims, for some reason I cannot get the sub trims to work right so I just fly
it live
6. RATE IT DOWN, Ive 30% on the elevator and Ailerons and 40% on the rudder, I've also
managed to get the throttle to max out at 50% becuase of the next item
7. you will need to quickly put in about 30-40% throttle to get it to lift off, this is due to the way
the esc works, too little and perhaps 3 motors start up. BE PREPARED to move the throttle
down because once its airborne it will keep going up, small movements with the throttle will
keep it level. NOTE I was trimming mine and put my transmitter down to move the quad a bit
further onto the grass, when I picked up my TX I caught the throttle it went up like a rocket
and got small quickly. i lost which way it was and shut the power off, that cost me an arm and
a motor (the wires are tight in the tube, if you break an arm you've probably pulled and broke
the motor wires)
8. keep it at about 3ft -10ft off the ground until you can fly it, treat it like learning to fly a heli,
nose out , nose in, square etc
9. don't let it get too fast it will keep on going, I tend to fly it slow
10. grass is better than a hard surface, its easy to break props in a gym wheras on grass
they usually just get a little dirty
11. the arms are 5mm CF tubes 125mm long, not may people stock them but you can buy
the tube at most model shops
12. Ive never come across anyone selling the ESC board so if it drops shut the throttle as
quick as you can
I'm using as a trainer as I am making a bigger quad using the Eagle N6 v2 board and the $11
frame from HobbyKing and perhaps Emax 2822 motors
Enjoy
Ronnie
