PMI with Choice-Based Art

Objective: Thinking about the idea of choice-based


art with students
Grade: 4
Time: 10 min with each group, 50 total
Materials:
+/- list
It would be interesting to see slip for each
student
Sequence:
1. Sit with students and tell a little about choicebased art. Tell them we are making a Plus/Minus
list about it.
2. Ask students what would really cool about
getting to choose your own projects to create.
Record their ideas.
3. Ask students what the negatives could be.
Record ideas.
4. Hand out slips and ask students to think about
what they think would be interesting about doing
choice-based art.
Assessment: Collect slips and read to ensure
students understanding of the concept.
