4. Work on the water theme oil pastel project.

Prior to lesson
Assume students have already done an introductory sketch book drawing
using oil pastel.

Differentiation: I will be teaching students the knowledge through
different types of instructions. I will be verbally explaining oil pastel,
as well as showing students different examples through drawing
done by other artists.
Sketch Book Drawing using Oil Pastel
- Students will follow a YouTube video to do an introductory
sketchbook drawing to learn about different techniques for oil
pastel.
Assessments: I will be formatively assessing students through
observation, and circulating around the classroom to help students
while they are drawing.
Differentiating- The drawing done on the video teaches students
different techniques for oil pastel. With this sketch book drawing,
students will learn about some basic techniques, as well as the
opportunity to practice drawing with oil pastel before they start their
water theme project.
Water Theme Oil Patel Drawing
Assessments: I will be formatively assessing students through
observation, and circulating around the classroom while students are
drawing. This piece will be collected and marked as a summative
assessment counted towards students final grades.
