Lesson Focus: the students will focus on badminton


gameplay for this lesson

Equipment and Facilities: the lesson will be taught on


the blacktop and the equipment needed is 30 cones,
10 birdies, and 20 rackets.

each other or hitting someone with their rackets by

Sailors- run to the left


Hit the deck- sit down
Captains coming- stand and salute until I
say at ease, if you move before I say that
your out
Four sailors rowing- group of four act
like your rowing
Five sailors pointing north- group of five,
point to sky
The last person to do the command will
be out and will join me up here to try to
distract everyone else.

Students will freeze and return back to
the home base line and wait for

Set Induction:
Today we will be engaging in some
badminton gameplay and you can pick
your partner. We will be playing doubles
to three points them one team from each
court will rotate to the next court and so
on. Before we start can anyone remind us
about the cues for underhand and
overhead hitting?
Purpose:
The purpose of this activity is so that the
students can be exsposed to game like
conditions for badminton.
Transition
The students will get a partner then grab
a racket and birdie then pick a court and
wait for my okay to start.

Lesson Core - Task 1:


The students will engage in gameplay by
playing in doubles and rotating to
different courts after everyone has played
to three points.
Demonstration Plan:
The teacher will demonstrate how to
properly hit the birdie.
