What do they need to understand, know, and/or able to do?
Be able to make a pamphlet
Create a brochure of information for people who want to know more about this
disease/illness. The brochure should include information from the websites you
evaluated, as well as a few pictures that are related to your information
Outcome(s):

9.8 - Assess the ways self, family, and community facilitate healthy living for people with
chronic illness
9.10 - Assess the role of health promotion in making healthy decisions related to
comprehensive approaches to safety, non-curable infection/diseases, romantic relationships,
healthy food policies, addictions, tragic death and suicide, chronic illness, and sexual health.
9.11 - Analyze the health opportunities and challenges and establish personal health
promotion goal statements related to comprehensive approaches to safety, non-curable
infections/diseases, romantic relationships, addictions, tragic death and suicide, chronic
illness, and sexual health.
9.12 - Design, implement, and evaluate three eight-day action plans that demonstrate
responsible health promotion related to comprehensive approaches to safety, non-curable
infections/diseases, romantic relationships, healthy food policies, addictions, tragic death and
suicide, chronic illness, and sexual health.

Personal Reflection:
This class went well, a lot of questions were asked and I felt that I was able to effectively
answer/work through the asked questions with the students. Most times I made my
rounds through the school to check on the students kids were focused on there
assignments aside from a couple students who were distracted by their phones.
