Narration
Web graphics
The findings for the file formant can be seen in Table 1 below. Not all the files were able to be displayed on a webpage. The file
formats that did display the graphic on a webpage are bmp, gif, jpeg, pdf, png and tif. Jpeg, gif, png and tif are all Raster images.
This means that they use many coloured pixels or individual building blocks to form a complete image. However, these images cannot
be dramatically resized without compromising their resolution, when placed in a size they were not designed to fit the image can
become distorted. The image in this instance would appear grainy (MODassicMarketing, n.d.). EPS and PDF however are Vector
files. Vector files allow are constructed using mathematical formulas rather than individual coloured blocs. These are excellent are
creating graphic that frequently require resizing (ACA, 2011).
The files could be categorized into lossless or lossy compression. The majority of the files however were lossless compression as seen
in table 2 below. BMP was the only uncompressed lossless file.

Power point Graphics

The files that were able to open in power point are files such as jpg, gif, jpeg, png, tiff, bmp and wmf (Microsoft, 2016).

Web graphics
From the list above the main graphic suitable on the internet are Bitmap images such as gif and jpeg. PNG is also a webpage graphic.
Tiff usually opens in the window explorer in windows photo viewer or similar programme. However, it can be configure internet
explorer to configure internet explorer to open Tiff files (Steel, 2016).
