On March 30, 2016, I attended Upstates job fair at the Crown Plaza and
became very interested in the different job opportunities for Registered Nurses.
In May, 2016, I will be graduating from Cayuga Community College with an
Associate of Applied Science: Registered Nursing Degree and I am looking to
pursue a career at Upstate University Hospital. I believe I possess the necessary

I recently completed my preceptorship at Upstate University on 5B in which
I was able to grow and learn under the guidance and supervision of your talented,
caring nursing staff. As my resume indicates, I have had clinical experiences at
many different health care facilities in all different areas of care. I am a team
player and truly understand the importance of collaboration, especially in this
field. My assessment skills are keen because I am an observant and detail
oriented person. I have been taking care of young children for almost ten years,
which has taught me responsibility- a critical characteristic of a good nurse. Also,
working as a server in a restaurant, I learned the importance of time
management, organizational skills, and how to quickly adapt to change when
challenges occur. I am very confident in my work, however I am always striving
to improve my skills and knowledge to maintain up to date theory and practice.
