The book written by Boyle and Radocy is a book written from the
psychological side of view on how music has a big importance on the human
behavior. This text includes examples of how music has influenced culture
throughout history and how music has been used as therapy for behavioral
problems. This examples assist my research in the topic of the association of
music with violent behaviors. This book also includes vast information on the
research of what sounds people like or dislike and why, and how therapists
use in order to help people. It also approaches the topic from a marketing
side of view on how music is used to sell services or products.

The journal that is cited above was written and posted by the American
Academy of Pediatrics and is relevant to my topic because the journal is
about an experiment performed with teenagers to see the effects the music
had on their behavior and emotions. This journal talks about popular music
and how it is easy now in days to access all kinds of music even by children.
According to this journal this is not the problem the real problem is that in
popular music is full of violence, sexual messages, substance abuse and
sexual stereotypes. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics the
exposure this kind of messages found in popular music have shown to have a
big impact on a childrens behavior.
