Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR js the spaceport of india, SDSC has state-of-the-art tacilities tor produc- ing heavier class solid propellant rocket boosters and facilities for testing their_flightworthiness. There are two operational Launch Pads, viz., the First Launch Pad (FLP) and the Second Launch Pad (SLP), equipped with integration, liquid storage and servicing facilities. Mission Control Centre & Launch Control Centre are equipped with sophisticated instrumenta- tion, tracking and real time display facilities. All the Launch Vehicles of ISRO are being launched from. Venue & Accommodation Conference venue is Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota, a tropical island surrounded by the picturesque Pulicat lake bird sanotu- ary terminating to the Bay of Bengal. This is a beautiful spindle shaped island with long coastline enriched with, flora and fauna. Sriharikota is famous for rare varieties of herbal plants.
