Leanne shows great ability in creating centers based on childrens play and interest. She was able
to observe different aspects of the classroom and expand on them.

Leanne has showed growth in observing children while still engaging with a group. She has
helped maintain a safe and respectful environment by keeping areas clean and teaching a

Leanne has demonstrated professional behaviour and worked well with me and the teaching
partner. She discussed centre ideas and communicated her plans in a respectful timely manner.

Host Educator Summary


Please provide a short overview of the students work with your facility or
school. Please include areas where the student has excelled and areas of
growth for setting goals as they continue to advance their skills.
Leanne assisted in planning centres for math and literacy based on the childrens interest as
well as expanding on what has already been in place. She helps create a positive and safe
environment. She has improved in her observation and intervention skills, and was an asset
to have in the classroom. Her ability to build something big out of a little observation was
amazing to see, as well as her quick connection with the children. The children loved her,
and her activities.

Student Final Self- Evaluation (provided for Host Educator and College
Evaluator in Week 6)

Students will prepare a reflective summary to give to their Host Educator


prior to a final meeting to assess progress in the placement. Using the
criteria outlined in the Host Educators final evaluation, students will provide
a reflective summary for each section and outline their successes or
challenges at meeting professional expectations. They are also asked to
complete the conclusion questions.
