Please consider me for the full time position at Agua Fria High School as a Secondary Education
History Teacher. My commitment to education, along with my experiences, and track record
make me an excellent candidate for this opportunity.
I strive to mentor students to break through the glass ceilings beyond the classroom using life
skills, critical thinking and technology. I use frequent and varied teaching tools to comprehend
each student's level of understanding and adapt practices to help students reach their goals.
Through real time communication with faculty, family, and students, I strengthen and increase
community involvement with the children's education.
I am currently a student teacher enrolled in the ITeach program at Arizona State University with
a 3.5 GPA. I was a Training Manager in the United States Air Force for 21 years. I received
leadership, supervisor, and teacher training. I learned to create lesson plans and evaluate others
curriculum while supervising instructors. I created an after work training program to help
beginning Airman complete their competency test. I installed networks, built databases and
created web pages to help train Airman in job while integrating technology. I received annual
volunteer awards for working for Arizona Special. I also taught First Aid and CPR classes for
two years. I also was physical training monitor and educated Airman on how to live a healthy
lifestyle. I coached youth soccer and adult volleyball since 1998. I received the three
Achievement Medals for my accomplishments. I can use all these skills to help develop students
at Agua Fria High School.
