Objectives
At the end of the first lesson, students will be able to explain why simultaneous linear
equations reference a single point on a graph.
Students will be able to produce two different ways of finding solutions for simultaneous
linear equations algebraically, by the end of the second lesson.
By the end of the unit, students will be able to construct a real world scenario where using
simultaneous linear equations will lead to a solution.
Unit Summary:
Students will engage with guides notes, think-pair-sharing, gaming, and puzzle creation to
fully understand the concept of systems of equations and their real world usefulness.
Assessments are utilized all along the way to ensure that students are making proper
connections and obtaining all necessary background knowledge to fulfill the unit.
Discovery is essential to engagement and understanding in this unit.
