Brief Description

As a class, students will develop a

code of conduct that will deal with
gym safety, etiquette, and
expectations for class behaviour. This
C10-6, D10-3
will guide the expectations for the
class for the next two weeks and
they will self-assess each day based
on this.
Students will self-assess on effort,
respect, and safety as guided by the
A10-3, A10-13, B10-2, code of conduct. This will help them
C10-6, D10-2, D10-3
realize the importance of selfassessment/reflection within a
workout plan.
As of the most important aspects in
the fitness center, I will be observing
the class to ensure that what I see is
following the code of conduct. In
C10-6, D10-3
doing this informal observation, I will
be able to do a quick judge to see if
what students are handing in as a
self-assessment is accurate.
The video feedback assignment is for
both the teacher and the student to
analyze how they are performing
A10-3, A10-13, B10-2, each exercise. The student is given
C10-6, D10-3
this opportunity to show that they
have learned how to properly do
specific exercises that work specific
muscles.
A10-3, A10-13, B10-2, These peer-teaches will provide
C10-6, D10-3, D10-4
students a chance to showcase the
research they performed over the
past few days. A short workout will
be performed to demonstrate team
work and knowledge about the
exercises. They will be graded on
their exercises, safety, and

cooperation.
Students watching will be shown
other exercises and how to do them;
they can gain confidence in seeing
how it is done.
This is for the students who are being
presented to. They can learn
C10-6, D10-3
exercises from the presenters and
they can demonstrate their respect
and positive behaviours.
This is the main assessment.
Students will showcase their work
over the past two weeks in this
logbook. Their fitness plan (including
rationale), their participation
throughout the course, and their
A10-3, A10-13, B10-2,
knowledge will all be shown. This
B10-3, D10-2, D10-4
logbook will show me, but more
importantly, the students, the fitness
plan they have created. This plan can
be used in the future as a fitness
plan or even a base for a new, more
complex plan.
