1. Number
Sense,
Properties,
and
Operations

2. Patterns,
Functions,
and
Algebraic
Structures

Create a
powerpoint to
help students
figure out their
math
problems
when they get
stuck on a
problem if
they are at
home
especially
where they
cant get help.
2a.

Have
students
practice their
mathematica
l skills by
going on a
math
website and
practice
addition and
subtraction.
If the student
struggles the
website will
help them
understand
how to do
the problem.
6a.

UnderstandHave the Prezi

as a resource,
students will
understand the
material more.

Have
students
create a
storybird
telling a story
about what
patterns are
and what they
look like,
creating that
with a creative
and fun story
to incorporate
with that
1.a.a.
Promote,
support, and
model creative
and innovative
thinking and
inventiveness

Create a
program that
the students
do online to
help them
understand
how to find
what a
certain
number will
be and what
shape that
will be when
given a
pattern. Will
give their
own sample
problem for
the class to
do and when
using photos
from the
internet use
the copyright
in the right

Apply-Student
will apply their
knowledge on
the math lesson
they learned to
create a
storybird and
being able to
show and
demonstrate in
the story that
they make that
they understand
what patterns
are and look like
Analyze- The
teacher shows
the students how
to analyze and
find a pattern.

Remember and
evaluate- the
student is
remembering
the math they
learned and they
evaluate when
they do problem
how many
problems they
got right.

Be able to have the

students do an
activity that helps
them understand the
different operations
such as having the
students create an
equation with each
student have either a
symbol or a number

Send example
of math
problems done
showing
working and
having the kids
examine them
when they go
home, and
then teach
them how to
do the
problems step
by step in the
classroom

Send students
the link to a
storybird that
the teacher
has created
ahead of time
and have them
review it at

Show
students how
statistics work
by using a

Have
students get
into a group
and find out

its left
handed
versus right
handed, or

Present their
data and
how they go
it and
explain it in a
group video
they made.
4. b. Plan
and manage
activities to
develop a
solution or
complete a
project

Analyze- the
teacher will look
over the results
that occurred
statistically

Show the
students
pictures of
correct
shapes using
primary
resources
using a
powerpoint to
show the
information.

(Teahcer)Knowledge, the
students learn
the knowledge of
what the shapes
should really
look like and
what each shape
is called.
(Student)Evaluate-the
students
evaluate shapes
to see which
shape belongs
to the word

Create- They
create and
discover
statistics that are
in the classes,
and use the
video to explain
it.

Reading, Writing, and Communicating

Other
Reflection: Being able to search and finds ways in which subjects can be taught in different ways makes
me feel really excited. Knowing that with technology, and even without technology, there are so many
different strategies and resources that can help aid both the teacher and the student when it comes to
teaching or learning something new. Powerpoints are really good when it comes to lecturing, or giving out

information as they are very organized. Learning about the different concepts such as flipped classroom,
gamification, and constructivism that I did learn about in ET 247, helped me realize that there are so
many different ways that a lesson could be taught that it is incredible.

When creating the storybird, I was really confused on how to work it at first, but once I got to the
hang of it, I got really excited about. This program can be used to teach anything from as simple
as the four seasons of the world, to Newtons laws in physics. Using the storybird program can
be used for any subject when teaching anything because it is like a powerpoint except it is more
visual as well unlike a powerpoint. The format of this as well will be able to easily grab young
students attention because they like colors and looking at something that is pleasing to the eye,
which is definitely storybird. I feel this will help my TPACK in expanding my knowledge more on
pedagogy.
