How have you grown as a nurse? Please explain and use specific examples.
This clinical definitely helped with time management, incorporating flexibility throughout my
day, and improving my head to toe assessment. Each morning I had to obtain report from
multiple nurses, complete 2-3 head to toe assessments, assist the patients with bathing,
complete vitals by 9am and 11am, and chart everything that I completed and assessed
during the day. I realize that I have grown as a nurse by being able to make changes in my
plan for the day when things come up and do not go as planned. Sometimes an assessment
would take longer than I thought or my patients needed more assistance. I learned to not
get stressed and prioritize what needed to be completed first. I also was able to delegate a
task to the tech if I needed too. This clinical prepared me for when I graduate and work in
the hospital setting.

Preceptor/Instructor comments/ Student Learning Goals: (**If an item was identified as N or U, narrative
comments are necessary to clarify student performance**)
Rachel has been a pleasure to work with. She is comfortable in the clinical setting and she is a true advocate
for her patients. Her compassion and therapeutic relationships were evident from the beginning of clinicals.
She is well organized, completes assignments, and willingly helps others. She has excelled in her performance
and will be a true asset in the nursing profession. Best wishes Rachel!
