Explain:
I observed that all students where mostly on task and they were engaged mostly all time in group work
and Question and answer part. Integrating technology to lesson was also another tool for engaging
students and their active participation.

Explain: Teacher used projector and his laptop to control the program for mimio pad. Since our
state is in common core we are using Common core workbooks for each student, the standards
are on the workbook and on the board so students can see it all time.

Explain: The groups formed with 3 students except last group was 4 students. They did Bellwork
individually but most of the classwork and practice works they did with group.

Explain: Student activities were with their workbook for the practice works and they used Mimio
pad to show their work.

Explain:

I saw that teacher stated his expectations for behavior really good at the beginning of
the year so I can see the students really good attitude and class rules became routines
for them. Teacher also used positive reinforcement when they answered questions
correctly. All the materials were ready their all practice work sheets are on students
workbook and all students have their own book.
OVERALL COMMENTS AND REFLECTIONS:
My overall Reflections were really positive for this 9 th grade Algebra class I observed. I normally use
lecture method usually in my class where student engagement were minimal. But with this observation I
saw blend of traditional and student centered method with the help of technology integration. By using
different questioning techniques I saw that I could engage more my students for my Computer class
instructions. Also asking questions helps us to check understanding of the students about the given topic.
Group work well done in Mr. Yanars class and it gave opinion of I can also use this group work
sometimes for students computer class assignments and engage them more.
Overall, the class actively participated and engaged with instruction. There was not too much attitude
problems since rules became routines that teacher even doesnt need to warn them when they were off
task He just stood by them and the return to their task again. All works and assignments done on time
except couple students.
