ACTION PLAN

To contribute to the goal of preparing reflective practitioners, student teachers will write an Action Plan at the end of first, second, and third field
experience with input from their cooperating teacher and/or the University supervisor. The Action Plan synthesizes each field experiences
evaluation, links each field experience to the next, establishes goals for improvement, and forms an agenda for discussion between the student
teacher, the cooperating teacher and University supervisor at the beginning of the subsequent field experience. For First Field Experience only
(excluding Physical Education students), the Action Plan will be completed during the co-requisite Professional Seminar course.

I have shown thorough to advanced development in the following Professional Competencies developed
during this field experience:

I have showed knowledge in different subjects and asked questions to the students before offering the
solution or answer or next step for them to develop their critical questioning. I communicated as clearly
as I could to get the students interested in the tasks. I have been social for example by saying good
morning to whom I would encounter. I have reflected on my time with the students how I behaved and I
asked myself how I should teach differently next time. I was open to feedback and suggestions. I
demonstrated that I was dependable by arriving on time and responsible by making the students do they
work and helping them and making sure they were well in one situation i managed in making it fair.

I would like to improve my skills in the following Professional Competencies developed during this field
experience:

The competency eleven has different objectives, the objective that I need to focus or improve on is
the one about using and knowing resources that are there to improve the skills that have to do with
the professional development. According to my evaluation, I need to develop more the competency
number one about communicating in a way that is appropriate and that is accurate and clear. The
other competency that I need to improve is competency number twelve about behaving in which a
teaching professional would do.

I will make use of the following strategies for improvement:


I could do some tutoring with students that are at the elementary grades.
Read books on topics that have to do with teaching and becoming a teacher.
Use services that are accessible to me by McGill, that are about writing skills.
