Site, Location, Installation, Site Tree

Site main object of ServIS, uniquely identified by its

geographical location and SiteID (ServIS is part of
ABB Master Data)
Site consists of Locations and Installations
Location can be linked to a site or to other location
Installation can be linked to a site, location or other
installation
All three objects form a site structure represented by
Site Tree

ABB Master Data

ServIS as global application utilizes all available ABB

Master data (MD)
GIS company identification (GUID), company hierarchy
(e.g. show all under global headquarters)
ABB Locations ABB location level 2 to identify factory
manufacturing a product/system
ABB Products product classification (Offering Trees)
ABB People
Division/Product Group hierarchy (via ABB MD)
Countries acc. to ISO (via ABB MD)
Note: GUID vs. SiteID one GUID can operate many sites,
e.g. Utility company having several substations.

Google Maps

To show and manage geographical locations we use

Google Maps
Locate Site(s) on a map on welcome page, drill-downs,
reports
Assign geo coordinates to a site based on address data
provided by user
