My first day at school.

Many events happened in my life long ago. I have forgotten some events. But I distinctly
remember some. They will remain fresh in my memory. My first day at school is one such events
which is the first day posted to school as a primary school teacher. I was twenty two years old
when I was first posted to the primary school.
Finally, the great day dawned I had thought as I leaped out of bed excitedly. It was the
first day of school and for the first time I had woken up very early in the morning at 4 oclock in
the morning. I took bath and dressed up. I ate a scrumptious breakfast and then left to school
through a bright and cheerful path which was about thirty minutes from my rented house.
It was very big school. The school building was very big. I felt nervous when I entered
the school premises. My first day at school, with me as a teacher of course, was unforgettable
experience. Now when I think of that I laugh but believe me that day was far from laughing. I
remember how well I was prepared for my lesson on that day. I planned a good lesson plan, an
interesting topic and good teaching aids. I was full energy and hope. I walked into the classroom
where thirty 9 years old children were waiting for me. Children were looking at their new teacher
with great interest. I greeted them and started asking typical questions, what is your name? , how
are you? , how old are you? , and etc. Everyone was eager to answer, except one small boy who
didnt say a word, only looked at me with anger.
I walked then to the blackboard and wrote my name on the whiteboard for the children to
remember. Suddenly everyone burst out laughing. I turned around not understanding what
exactly happened. Then, I heard barking coming from my desk. I saw the small boy that looked
at me with anger before and he ready to attack my leg under my desk. Everyone laughing and I
was paralysed. Later, I know that the small boy had schizophrenic. This is the most unforgettable
memory in my life.
