1) 80% of students in grades 1-5 on a Reading goal will show an improvement of 5 points (1st
graders) or 10 points (2nd 5th graders) on their AIMSweb MAZE end of the year benchmark.
Rationale for the Plan
Student learning concerns addressed: (Include building level data for analysis of the goals and
progress.) **Fluency and comprehension are both addressed. Many of my students are not
reading fluently with negatively affects their comprehension. Also, when specifically reading the
MAZE assessment, students are not reading fast enough to get very far in the 3 minute time
period. They are also struggling with the assessment format. See Attached Sheet for Specific

*90% of our K-5 students will comprehend a grade level passage at a proficient level or higher
based upon our DRA assessments and our formative/summative benchmark data collection
process.
