Content Standard:
1.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will
be able to pronounce
words and speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation.
Learning Standard:
1.1.2 Able to listen to and enjoy simple stories.
1.1.3 Able to listen to, say aloud and recite rhymes or sing songs with guidance.
1.1.4 Able to talk about a stimulus with guidance.
Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, pps. should be able to:
1. Listen, sing and enjoy Head and Shoulders song.
2. Listen to, understand and act out the actions of a story
(stamp, clap, snap and snore).
Activities:
1. Teacher introduces a video clip of the song (Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes)
and gets pupils to watch and listen.
2. Using the video clip and an audio clip, teacher gets pupils to sing and enjoy
the song with actions.
3. Teacher explains the next activity.
4. Teacher says aloud the actions (stamp, clap, snap and snore) and the related
groups do the actions.
5. Pupils complete a worksheet with guidance.
