Day 7: Tuesday 1st March 2016

Science Lesson: Close and Far Away.
On Tuesday March 1st 2016 I explained a science lesson about close and far away. I started the lesson by
the warm up. I asked the students to dance to head, shoulders knees and toes song. After that I reviewed
the previous lesson with the students by asking them different questions. To introduce the lessonI asked
the students questions about the close and far away then I asked them to give me examples from the real
life about close and far away objects. For the whole class activity I did classify the close and far away
pictures activity. In this activity I had different flashcards that have close and far away pictures andapaper
that had two tables the first one is for the close and the second one is for the far away pictures and the
students had to classify the pictures.
After the whole class activity I explained to the students the differentiation activity and I divided themin
to three groups. The high level students had a paper that has close and far away pictures and close word
and far away words. In this activity the students had to match between the far away word and the pictures
that demonstrate the far away then they had to match between the close word and the pictures that
demonstrate close, then when students finished matching they had to write the word close under the
close pictures and far away under the far away pictures. I gave the medium level students have a paper
that has close and far away pictures and they had to match between the far away word and the pictures
that demonstrate the far away then had to match between the close word and the pictures that
demonstrate close. However for the last group which is the low level group I gave the students a paper
that has close and far away picture and they had to circle the close pictures and color the far awaypictures.
for the closing activity I did close and Far away flashcards activity, in this activity I had different flashcards
that have close and far away pictures and I used them to concluded the lesson for the students on the
white board and asking them different questions about them.
I used different learning styles such as physical, auditory and visual. The auditory learning style waswhen
I played the head, shoulders, knees and toes song and the physical learning style was when the students
were dancing to the song and doing the movements moreover when the students did the activities they
developed their fine motor skills. When I used different pictures and flashcards to explain the lessonand
when I used them for the activity this help visual learners to understand the lesson easily and thiswasthe
visual learning style I used in the lesson.
In my opinion I think that my lesson was successful because I achieved my learning outcomes which are
identify the close and far away, classify the close and far away objects and link between the real life and
the curriculum. I was able to achieve my goals by doing variety of activities and using different learning
styles. The students were engaged and active which helped me deliver the information to them easily
moreover they enjoyed the activities and did a great job.

Day 8: Wednesday 2sd March 2016

English Lesson: The letters Y and Z lesson.
On Wednesday 2sd of March 2016, I taught the students literacy lesson which about the letter Y and letter
Z. first, I take students attendance that I sing the morning song with them. I start the lesson by review
the previous lesson which is Q and J. I asked the students questions about the sound of the letter and
some examples of word that start by this letter. After that I introduced the new letter which are letters Y
and Z. by asked the students questions about the sound of the letter and some examples of word that
start by this letter. Then I played the letters song for them. After that I explain how to write the lowercase
and the uppercase of the letter Y and letter Z. Then I showed them different picture that start by different
letters and I will asked them to select the picture that start by letter Y or Z. After that I asked the students
to write letter Y and letter Z in the air.
Then I gave each level an activity. For the high level students I asked them to write the letters and some
words in the white board. For the middle level students I asked circle the pictures and write the letters.
For the low level student I ask them to color the letter and follow the dots to write the letter Y and Z. for
close activity I gave the students work sheet to check their understanding also I asked the students
different questions.
I used different learning styles such as physical, auditory and visual. The auditory learning style waswhen
I played the morning song and the letters song. The physical learning style was when the student s were
dancing to the song and doing the movements and when they do the activities (they develop their fine
and gross motor). When I used different pictures and when I used the smart board for write the letters
this help visual learners to understand the lesson easily.
In my opinion I think that my lesson was successful because I achieved my learning outcomes which are
Review letter Q and J, Identify new letters (Y-Z), Identify the sound of the new letter and Recognize how
to write the letters. I was able to achieve my goals by play a music, doing different activities and using
different learning styles. The students were engaged and active which helped me give the informationto
them easily.
Day 11: Tuesday 8th March 2016
Math lesson: subtraction.
On March 8th 2016 I taught my class KG2B students in Al-Wahda private school a lesson in math and I was
about subtraction. My learning goals for the subtraction lesson were students will be able identify the
meaning of subtraction. Also they will be able to subtract by using different objects. In addition, the
students will be able to know how to use (-) symbol. I started the by explaining the rules for the students.
For the warm up I played five little monkeys song for the students. I sang the five little monkeys songwith
the students and I divided the song to five parts and after each part I asked the students to count the
monkeys. Then I put the numbers cards in the white board to represent the part of the song. I asked the
students about the sign of subtraction then I showed the students a monkey picture on stick and I asked
the students about the monkey (For example: where the does the monkey live?). I linked my math lesson

with the science through identifying the two animals which are camels and monkeys and asking students
different questions about them.
After the warm up I asked the students different questions about the camels then I did a whole class
activity and this activity was the camels' farm, in this activity I had 10 camels in the farm and I asked the
students to choose numbers of the camels to take them to the camels race. Then I ask ed the students
about how many camels they took away from the camels' farm to the camels' race and how many camels
are left in the camels' farm. After that I wrote the answer on the white board.
After the whole class activity I explained to the students the differentiation activities and whateachgroup
will have to do. I divided the students in to 3 groups according to their levels and I asked them to start the
activities. For the high level students I put a cup that includes different subtraction questionsinthe middle
of the table and each student had a cup then I told the students that whoever answers a lot of question
he will be the winner. For the medium level students each student had ice creams cone and scoops andI
gave the students math questions, each student had to represent the subtraction question by using the
ice cream and the scoops. However for the low level students I gave each student a happy face and the
students had to color the teeth of the face to represent the subtract question that they had. After the
differentiation activities I did the closing activity by asking each group to show their work to the other
groups then I did a small activity. In this activity I asked the students a subtract questions by using
monkeys and bananas pictures. To assess the students I asked the students questions about subtraction
to check if they understand the lesson. Also I observed the students while they were doing theiractivities.
I think that my lesson was successful because I was able to achieve some of my learning outcomes. I used
different learning styles such as physical, auditory and visual and that helped me to explain the lesson in
an easy way to the students and make them build acknowledge about subtraction. I did varietyofactivities
to make it easy for the students to understand the subtraction concept and make them engaged with me
while I am explaining the lesson. But I am very absent about the differentiation activities for the highand
medium levels because I explain the activities but the students were not understand what theyshoulddo.

Day 14: Monday 11th April 2016

English: review letters.
On April 11 th I review the alphabet letters for the KG 2b students in Al-Wahda private school. I
introduced the lesson by Play the ABC song on the smart board and asked the students to stand up and
sing. Then I used flashcards to lets the students read the letters. After I checked that students memorize
all the letters I give them differentiation. For the high level students I give them worksheet to write the
upper case letters and the lower case letters. For the medium level students I give them classify the
capital letters and the small letters worksheet to do and for the low level students I give them dotted
letter worksheet.
I used different learning styles such as physical, auditory and visual. The auditory learning style was
when I played the letters song. The physical learning style was when they do the activities (they develop
their fine and gross motor). The visual learning style was when I used flashcards.

In my opinion I think that my lesson was successful because I achieved my learning outcomes which are
Memorize the letters, Recognize the letters and Classify the upper case letters and the lower case letters.
I was able to achieve my goals by play a music, doing different activities and using different learningstyles.
Day 15: Tuesday 12th April, 2016
Math: 3D shapes (cylinder, cone).
On April 12th I taught my last lesson in Al-Wahda private school. The lesson was about 3D shapes (cylinder,
cone) in math. I started the math class by reviewing the previews lesson which was about spheres and
cubes then I started the new lesson by showing a video about cylinders and cones. I explained the 3D
shapes by showing the students objects that demonstrate cylinders and cones. I told the students the
names of the 3D shapes then I asked them to repeat the words cylinders and cones after me.
I did the first activity which was for the whole class. The activity was about finding the 3D objects in the
classroom. After the whole class activity I did the differentiation activities for the students. The activity
was about making cylinders and cones using papers. Students had to choose what 3D shape they wanted
to make.
The high level students choose what they wanted to make. For the cylinders students had colorful A4
papers and they had to fold it to make cylinders then they designed it and colored it as they want then
they drew the cylinders on the white paper. For the cone students had a paper and they folded it to make
a cone then they colored it and designed it as they want. The medium level students had to choose what
3D shape they wanted to make. For the cylinders students had cardboard tubes and some paints they had
to design it and color it then they drew cylinders on the white paper. For the cone students had a paper
and they folded it to make a cone then they colored it and designed it as they wanted. The low level
students had to choose what 3D shape they wanted to color and design. For the cylinders students had
paper cylinders and some colors and they colored it and designed it as they wanted. For the cone students
had paper cones and some colors and they had to color it and design it as they wanted.
After the differentiation activities I started the closing activity. In the closing activity I gave the studentsa
worksheet about the lesson to check if they can identify cylinders and cones. The worksheet had pictures
of cylinders and cones, students had to match the cone pictures with the cone word and the cylinders
pictures with the cylinders word.
I think that my lesson was successful because I achieved my learning outcomes which are recognize the
3D shapes cylinders and cones, understand what are cylinders and cones and be able to find cylindersand
cones objects from real life. I was able to achieve my goals by doing variety of activities and usingdifferent
learning styles.
Day 16: Wednesday 13th April 2016
Science Lesson: Sizes, Shapes and Colors.
On April 13th I taught my last lesson in Al-Wahda private school. The lesson was about sizes, shapes and
colors in science. In the beginning of the fifth period I played wi th the students a small game which is
stand up and sit down to warm them up after that I asked the students to sit nicely on the carpet to start
the lesson. Before I explain the lesson I did a revision for the previous science lesson. I introducedthe new
lesson by showing the students a video about the shapes then I showed them a video about the colors

and I asked the students different questions. I explained the sizes concept by comparing betweenthe big
and small circles and squares. I compared between the students to explain the short and the tall. The first
activity I did for the whole class was sorting the shapes by its size. In this activity students had a paper
that has two circles one for the big and one for the small and they had an envelope that h as big and small
colorful circles and squares. Students sorted the shapes depending on their sizes on the paper. Some
students faced difficulties so I explained the activity again for them and I helped them. After the first
activity I explained the differentiation activities for the students and I asked them to sit on their placesto
start the activities.
I gave the high level students classify the objects activity. In this activity the students had differentobjects
and they had to classify them on the baskets depending on the sizes and the shapes and I asked the
students about the objects colors. The students enjoyed the activity and they helped each other. For the
medium level students I gave them draw the objects activity. In this activity the students had a paperthat
has tables, one for the sizes and one for the shapes and they had to draw objects that demonstrate each
size in the table and they drew the shapes (square and circle) then they colored them. Some studentshad
difficulties to draw some of the objects so I helped them and I asked the students who finishedthe activity
to help the ones who needed help. For the low level students I gave them coloring the shapes depending
on their sizes activity. In this activity students had a paper that has the shapes square and circle indifferent
sizes and they had to color the small shapes with the red color and the big shapes with the green color. I
observed the students while they were doing the differentiation activities. For the closing activity I gave
the students classifying the flashcards activity. In this activity the students had envelopes that have
flashcards about short, long, small and big. There were four baskets, one for big, one for small, one for
short and one for long. Students had to classify the flashcards on the four baskets.
In this lesson I used variety of learning styles such as visual, auditory and physical. The visual learningstyle
when I showed the students the videos that has different pictures and colors also when I used colorful
flashcards to do the closing activity. This helped visual learners to understand the lesson in an easy way.
The physical learning style was when the students drew the shapes and the objects and this helped the
students to develop their fine motor skills. The auditory learning style is when I played the shapesandthe
colors songs to introduce the lesson.

I think that my lesson was successful because I was able to achieve my different learning goals. The
students were able to identify the sizes (big, small, short and tall) and learn the colors. Moreover, I was
able to deliver the information about the lesson to the students by showing them different videos and
using them as examples for the short and the tall. I used different learning styles which helpedme deliver
the information easily to the students and make them acknowledge it.
