different activities but all of them designed for the same
purpose and it achieved the learning outcomes.

Whole
Time: 10 min

Opening (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group activities)

Speaking , listening and reading:
Task 1:
1. Introduce students what does adjectives mean? (engage and explore)
I will tell them that the adjective is a word that describes the noun.
I will give them show them pictures and describe it by using adjectives, then give students
chances to describe the picture.
2. Show students videos about adjectives.
After the video, the teacher and students will have short discussion about what did they learn?.
Reasons for choosing video:
Integrate various learning styles which help students to understand the lesson easily. For example,
visual by watching the video. Also, auditory when students will listen to video and while
discussion time kinesthetic, when students will use body language while watching the video,
Arouse students interest as a result, they will gain various vocabulary words and understand
better.
Whole class activity:
Online games, students will read sentences and circle the adjectives.
How this activity will help both students and teacher?
Students:
Motivate them to learn because it combines fun and learning.

Guided Experience (group working with the teacher)
The teacher will explain the activity and students will get chances to engage and explore.
Complete the sentence by choosing the appropriate adjective (low level)
Materials:
Sentence cards for each student and markers.

Instructions:

Small
Time: min

Each student will have a sentence card and he/she will read it and try to complete the sentences by writing
adjective
Because these students are low, they will have a picture of the noun to scaffold them. For example, if the
sentence is I have flower , I will put picture of the flower . In addition, students will have word bank.
Once students have finishing their cards, they will have another sentences.

I will model this activity for them by reading the definition and write the word.
While students doing the activity, I will correct their mistakes if they have and assess their learning.
Reasons for choosing this activity:
Motivate them to learn because it has pictures.
Help them to identify the adjectives.
Why I choose this for low level?
Low level students faced problem in knowing the adjectives . So, this activity will support them because
they will have one sentences in each card. In addition, this activity has pictures for each noun which will
help them to identify the noun.

Independent Experience (small group activity 1)

Engage, Explore and Explain
X and O (medium Level) .This activity will be for two groups.
Materials:
Small board that has different pictures and space to write sentences.
Instructions:

It will be paired activity, one student will choose one picture, describe it using adjectives and tell it to
her partner. For example, if he/she chooses car , he/she will say" I have a red car" .
After telling the sentence, they will write it down.
Her/his partner will chose another picture, describe it and write a sentence.

If they get horizontal, vertical and diagonal line , they will win.

Why I choose this activity:

Improve students listening because each partner has to concentrate while their partner
describing the sentences. .
According to Vygotsky, who mentioned that when students work together and have a
chance to discuss and share this will support them to acquire language and learn from each
other. In addition, this is "ZPD", because students can guide their partner while doing the
tasks.
Reinforce students reading, writing and speaking.
Why I choose this for medium level?
Medium level students know the adjectives but they need more practice and support to be
able to reach the high level. In addition, by doing as pairs, they will scaffold and help each
other.
Independent Experience(small group activity 2)
Explain, Explore, and Engage.
Write a story. . (high level)
Materials:
Different topics and paper to write. .
Instructions:
Each student will have a topic and will write a story about it by using adjectives.
After finishing writing the story, they will discuss their writing with their group.
Reasons for choosing this activity:
Combine fun and learning at the same time.
According to Piaget, who believed that students learn better when they are doing the work
by themselves instead of giving them the explanation from adults.
Develop students reading ,speaking, listening and writing.
Why I choose this for high level?
High level students need more writing activities which help them to develop their writing skills.
In addition, they understand the adjectives and know how to use it in sentences without facing any
problem.

Whole
Time: 5 min

Extension activities:
1. Write sentences using the noun and draw pictures that describe the sentences.
Instruction:
Each student will write sentences by using the noun that is given to them for example, my friend, do
and cupcake.
In addition, students will perform their work front their classmates.
Closing

Make a short review by asking students oral questions and complete the sentences by choosing the
adjectives.

Assessment
While students doing the activity I will walk around to observe their working .In addition, I will ask them Oral
question.
Moreover, I will provide appropriate feedbacks for them and improve their learning.
In addition, I will use the checklist.
Reflection:

What went well:

The video and the online game were perfect and it attracts students attention to the lesson. Moreover, by
using them students understand the lesson very well.

Choose a leader for each group, this help me to save the time and give the groups the resources quickly.
Moreover, students love that and they cooperate with each other.
The activities were perfect, and it keeps students busy and enjoyed. Moreover, when students finish their
activity and checking their work, I give them extension activities, which made them motivate to learn.
Model the activities for students and use clear instruction to explain the activities.

Even better if:

Make sure that all students are doing the activity because some of them were talking with their friends. And
that by walking around and monitoring them.
Keep praising students who did excellent behavior because that will keep others quite and listen to the
teacher.
Next step in teaching and learning:
Monitor students while doing the activity and teaching.
Give the instruction clearly.
Use various strategies to explain the lesson such as, son, story and video.
