Lesson Core - Task 2:

Students will be playing a modified game
of monkey in the middle. There will be
groups of three that are chosen by the
number system. The goal of the game is
to use the correct COTS of the backhand
throw to get it to your partner. Once the
person in the middle gets the Frisbee
everyone will switch.
Demonstration Plan:
Nathan, one student, and myself will
demonstrate the task to the class.
Questions to Check Understanding
1. What are the COTs of the
backhand serve?
2. Why is passing a Frisbee
backhand important?
Adaptations
Students who need the task to be made
easier can move closer in and we can
have the monkey that is in the middle be
stationary. To make this task harder we
can move the students further back and
the monkey can be more active to make
the backhand throw more difficult.
Transition:
Students will be asked to bring all
equipment back to the bag and take a
quiet seat on the white line.
