Spring 2016
Within diverse school, instructed tenth grade English and English Honors classes with 25-30 students in
each. Supervised content and credit recovery for students in need. Attended staff meetings and trainings on
a regular basis and participated in Professional Learning Community meetings with the tenth grade team.
Attended school sponsored athletic and musical events to show support and create rapport with students.
Provided communication with guardians regarding student progress and behavior and attended ParentTeacher Conferences to discuss student growth.
Practicum
Fall 2015
Observed teaching practices of various professionals and conducted interviews with administration and
intervention specialists. Compiled information about the culture of the school and analyzed the information
to create rapport with students. Implemented a ten day unit lesson in tenth grade English classes that
demonstrated knowledge of Common Core Standards and instructional strategies such as scaffolding.
Field Experience
Spring 2015
Collaborated with colleagues to create a unique learning experience for students as they created multimodal autobiographies. Modeled various strategies of revision using a multitude of activities and examples
to spark student interest including group work, current events, and pop culture. Provided colleagues with
and received constructive feedback to help analyze and improve instructional strategies.

Shadowed a student to gain understanding of the schools culture and observe multiple instructional
strategies. Provided one-on-one instruction to students in a ninth grade classroom setting.
Used a welding machine to create and assemble various machine parts, repaired and tested new washing
machines to be shipped, and inspected and hung washing machine cabinets on a line to be painted.
