Self-Reflection
Over the course of the semester, I have developed as a writer due to my professor correcting
my old writing habits and practice. I have gained knowledge and skill of how to use commas
correctly and replacing unnecessary wording with one or two words. WRTC 103 has taught how
to correctly cite using APA and MLA format which I can carry over into all of my research
assignments in my future courses. To overcome some of my challenges in my writing I went to
the student success center for help with commas and I asked my professor in class whenever I
was unsure about something, especially formatting and citing. Strengths in my writing consist of
conducting good research and explaining my thoughts into depth; however, I need to continue to
work on my editing and punctuation. All in all, my writing skills have benefitted from taking
WRTC 103 this semester.
