Final EXAM

1. Enter ALL of your artwork pieces into the art show. 500
points
a. If you were here the whole year, you are allowed to
exclude one piece. If you were here just for 2nd semester
you need to put all of the assignments into the show.
b. Art 1: Art Show: Pre Instruction, Upside down man, life drawing hands, pen and ink

Art 2: Life Drawing, Identity Project (Strip or Grid or observation), Digital Art, Images
and Words, Clay, Painting Techniques (log cabin for second hour, first acrylic painting
for first hour), Painting-Style of an Artist, Big Idea, Pastel/Colored Pencil, Unusual
Materials (if it gets done)
Art : you should have AT LEAST 8 of your 9 projects in the

show (See my chart with your small and large projects)!


e. EVERY piece must Be Mounted on Black, White, or Colored
PaperYou must do correct Math to create a 1-2 border
around your pieces.
f. EVERY PIECE must have a display tag.Mrs. Dahlman has
the tags.
g. Make a CREATIVE DISPLAY! Bring in your own materials and
decorations! Make the space your own! This is your studio
Displaythe more creative the better! The display needs
to be neat, and organized and professional looking! You can
use supplies in the art room, but there are not enough for
everyoneso bring some things in from home.
2. WRITE a paragraph about FIVE of your art pieces. 350
points
a. See SPECIFIC instructions and examples on
EDMODO/iTunes U.
b. General Instructions: Do this five separate times for five
different pieces: Choose a piece of your artwork
i. What was easy?
ii. What is the meaning? Does it mean anything to you?
iii. What was hard
iv. What would you do different next time?
v. What is your favorite thing about the piece
c. Use AT LEAST THREE art vocabulary words in EACH
paragraph. Some examples:
i. Balance, Symmetry, Composition, Shape, Form,
Value, Contrast, brightness, proportion, texture, focal
point
ii. Also use medium specific terms such as graphite,
grid drawing, Acrylic, Tempera, Charcoal, Leather
Hard, Bisque, screen printing, emulsion, exposure
etc.
3. During the scheduled exam time, you will have to complete two
short life drawingsone in color, one gray-scale. 200 Points
4. EVERNOTE: Make sure that all of the projects are
uploaded to evernote: 200 Points

a. Tag your name, and 2high school, and the project name.
You are welcome to use more tags if you like.
