Bienvenidos al segundo semestre de la clase de espaol! (Welcome to the
second semester of Spanish class!) My name is Ms. Burchett the students will call me Seorita Burchett- and I am a Spanish and ESL student teacher that will be working at Homestead High School this semester. I am currently in the final stages of my secondary Spanish language education studies at Ball State University. I am excited to be able to learn more about teaching during my experience in the classroom while working with my cooperating Spanish teacher, Profe Bollman this semester. In the beginning of this semester I will be working under Profe Bollman in both her 1st and 4th period Spanish II classes. As the semester continues, I hope to further gain expertise in the classroom so that I will be ready and able to take over all teaching responsibilities in the classroom. My goals for this semester are not only to learn from other foreign language educators, but to learn from the students as well. I hope to get to know each and every one of my students so that I can better create an engaging environment that stems from the students curiosity and motivation to learn the Spanish language and culture. At the end of course, I want all of the students to be successful and feel not only ready, but also confident in continuing their Spanish education into the following year. To that end, please feel free to contact me at school to discuss your questions or comments. Profe Bollman can also be contacted throughout the semester. Profe Bollmans phone number is 260.431.2200 and e-mail is mbollman@sacs.k12.in.us. My e-mail is HHSSteacher2@sacs.k12.in.us and phone number to contact me is 262.431.2200. E-mail is the most sufficient method in contacting either of us as our phones are off during the day while we are teaching. I look forward to meeting you all at some point this semester and working together to maximize your students learning experience! Muchsimas Gracias! (Many thanks!)
