1. Caleb and Catherine are on the verge of breaking their marriage.

The aspects
of communication that they practiced were non- verbal signals, and
directness. The non-verbal signals were sent when they showed that they
didnt want to talk to each other and when they are angry with each other.
They were direct with their words but their directness does not do well for
their other half.
2. Caleb and Catherine demanded respect from each other but both did not
meet their expectation because they were both so full of themselves that
they only saw what they wanted, not what their partner needed.
3. Respect is crucial for husbands because it is with respect that they feel loved
and valued. Wives also want respect, but affection is also crucial for them. For
relationships to work, it is important to study each other to know the likes
and dislikes of each other; it is also important to be considerate of each other.
4. I believe that Calebs attention was directed to pornography and boat
because he feels that his wife lacks affection to him and he wanted to run
away, and so as Catherine. Catherine feels worthless to Caleb; therefore she
looked for that affection from Dr. Keller.
5. God being the center of marriage is important because, in the first place, God
was the one who united the husband and wife during their wedding. It was to
God who they had covenant with. Gods love would be the best solution for
their diminishing marriage.
6. Love and marriage should not be taken for granted that you only love a
person when they love you back or they give value to your feelings. Love
should be unconditional, like that of the love of God to his children. It is Gods
love that keeps husbands and wives together, therefore He should be the
center of a relationship for the relationship to succeed.
