Teaching Tips

#1: Make sure that you have your students


attention. For example, teacher says Please stand
up! and the students would respond Please stand
up! as they stand up.
#2: When giving instructions, make sure that you
give the instructions in seven words or less.
#3: It is important to have classroom
management. This can be attained by discussing
familiar subjects, incorporating movement in the
lesson, and most importantly staying engaged and
enthusiastic about the lesson at hand.
#4: Seating your students in alphabetical order
either by first or last will help you remember their
names.
#5: It is important to take a breath! Make sure you
breathe before talking and/or singing so that your
voice is stronger.
#6: Try to move your eyes all around the room and
make everyone feel welcome. Also be sure to
smile!

even if you are not a great singer.
