Today, Apple inc are one of the words largest producers of consumer electronic

goods. Currently valued at over a trillion dollars and producing and marketing
goods such as mobile phones, portable music players, personal computers etc as
well as a wide range of software and peripheral services it is hard to imagine that
the company came from such humble beginnings.
Apple was formed in April 1976 by two college dropouts, Steve Jobs and Steve
Wozniak. The company started out small in a family garage in Mountain View
California. The first computer produced by the company in the summer of 1976
was the Apple 1 whos design would later become the archetype for most
modern personal computers. It had a typewriter keyboard and was connected to
a television set (output) , it had a limited run to a local computer store of 50
units but the run was extended and between 76 and 77 approximately 200 units
of the apple 1 were sold.
The companys next computer that it produced was the apple 2, a hugely
innovative computer credited by some as launching the personal computer
industry that we know today. It was debuted at the April 1977 features included
up to 64k memory, tape based storage, colour graphics and a 280x192
resolution. The apple 3, the companys next failure would be its first failure.
Combined with this the rising tensions between newly elected CEO John Scully,
who eventually forced jobs out of the company
