SPANISH 3 and 4
PARTICIPATIONThis is a very interactive class. Your participation will be graded on how much
you communicate in SPANISH with your peers and how well you interact with
your peers during their presentations. Are you asking questions? (this is will
be the main question addressed when determining your participation grade.)
EXPECTATIONSYou are allowed to do anything as long as it is not harmful to anyone around
you, myself and yourself. Failure to meet this expectation will be addressed
with a conversation after class to resolve the issue.
GRADES3x25 Points for Research Topics
3x25 Points for a Written Discovery and Solution to the topic
3x50 Points for Presentation
100 Participation points
400 Points Total
HOMEWORKUp to your discretion, anything you dont finish in class will turn into
homework. If you need additional time to work on your write-ups, they shall
become homework. Presentational practice should be done at home. Writeups not turned in on time will be due the day of presentation, but will not
receive my helpful feedback before your presentation for improvements.
TESTSYour presentations will we considered as your exams, you will be responsible
for using new grammar structures in class in your presentation. If you miss a
presentation you are responsible to find a make-up time one week from the
missed presentation, no consequence if you use a blue dollar, if you dont
use a blue dollar you will be docked 10% of final presentation grade. Any
later will be a 0 in the gradebook.
ABSENCES & TARDIESYou have two blue dollars and three green ones. You are responsible for
yourself, you can use your blue dollars for an excused absence. After that it
will affect your participation by 5 points. The green ones are your excused
tardies. If you chose to use them, you are responsible for anything you may
miss in class, if you dont use them you can turn them in at the end of the
semester and will receive 5 points for each dollar.
