Timeline of US Schools
Education has an important role of not only a persons success but also the
society as a whole. [2]
Education promote social participation, change, and innovation. [3]
In education there is not only a formalize but also an informal education.
Formal education is taught in places like schools. While informal education is
usually taught at home or in any places that schools cant teach.
There are 4 functions of education:

Social stratification
Social Integration
Social development
Social mobility
For low-income students, reaching their goal seems going farther and farther. [4]
Reasons:
- Barriers of financial and class status
- No aspirations in life.
- Having a hard time speaking and understanding English.
- Counselors discourage them to transfer to a well known colleges.
Social Integration
- By passing on values of education, it
also unify the people to a wider and
broader society.

Social Development
- Education trains people to develop skills that is will be use after they
graduate.
- Education develop a persons literacy, speech, and critical thinking skills
for the reason that in any field of work this three skill are important on
how they communicate to other people.
Social Mobility

In 1970s male gender have more chance to climb higher, while women were ignored and just
stay at home wife.
Women in the past dont have a high chance to be promoted or to have a high position.
- In the present both genders are more equal in both economic and social status.
