Unit 3-Food Fight?
End of Unit Assessment: Project Development Booklet

Part 1 Project Information (Criterion A: Knowing and Understanding)

1.What is the name of your project?
Our project name is Sustain the Earth, Save the environment, Promote locally grown
food.
2.What is your project about?
Our project is about promoting locally grown food, to students and teachers in VSA, so
that they know the importance of buying locally grown food and how it will help the
Earth.

3.How will your project help with food sustainability?

If we buy locally grown food we dont need to rely on other country for food, so if the
other country was not sustainable we will have no food to eat, but if we have the
practice of buying locally grown food it will not affect us that much.
4.What kind of positive impact does the project bring to the environment?
We want to have less GHG emissions, since if the food needs to be transported a few
times to get to your house. That will cause a holes in the ozone and global warming,
most importantly the air will be polluted. We hope to decrease as much as we can of
that negative impact, by the people buying locally grown food which will cause less GHG
Emission and not pollute the air as much.
5.Who is your target participant?
Students, Teachers in VSA. (Hopefully they can spread the word and tell people to buy
locally grown food as well.)

6.How will you promote your project in an interesting and creative way?
We promote locally grown food through a video, we will interview the teachers and
student about what they think about locally grown food, then we will give some
explanation about the negative impact of not buying laically grown food, we also gave
some example during the video. Lastly we said int he video that how it will help if you
bought locally grown food.

Part 3 Process Journals (Criterion B: Investigating)

The process journal should be used to record progress honestly, with your thoughts,
ideas, decisions, feelings and reflections as you do your project. You must record 5 pieces
of journals as the project goes along. You should inculde some pictures as part of your entry.
This is what your teacher will use to determine your progress.
Journal 1

Date:22 April
What did I do?
We brainstormed many ideas and things that we can
do for promoting locally grown food.
Why did I do this?
So we have many ideas, and have many choice of
what kind of thing that we should do to promote
locally grown food.

Journal 2

Date:26 April
What did I do?
We made the plan for the action that we are taking,
and what and how we are going to make the video.
Why did I do this?
So we are organised for the future, and sure about
what we are going to do.

Journal 3

Date:28 April
What did I do?
Finish the Script for the Video
Why did I do this?
So that we know what to say in the video.

Journal 4

Date:5 May
What did I do?
Filming the Video, and interviewing different
teachers and students.
Why did I do this?
So that we can use it to promote locally grown food,
and that people who watch this video (Audience)
understand the importance of buying locally grown
food.

Journal 5

Date:6 May
What did I do?
Putting the video together into one piece and that it
is presentable.
Why did I do this?
So that it is clear for the audience and it is
presentable and neat.

Part 4 Reflections (Criterion B: Investigating)

About Yourself:
1.What is the most important thing you learned in this project?
I have learned that it is really important to buy locally grown food, for many different
reasons, one of the most important reason that if you buy imported food the transport
that took your food here it will cause global warming due to GHG emissions and it will
effect the polar bear and other livings, and that it will pollute the air.
2.What level of personal effort do you feel you put into your project?
I think that I put in lots of effort in this project, I tried my best to write the script
as good and expressive as I could so that the audience can actually understand the
importance of buying locally grown food and save the environment. There is also parts
that I can improve in, so it is closer to perfect.
3.What do you wish you had spent more time on or done differently?
I think that I can spend to film the video together, since it was filmed last minuet, so
it can be better if we used time efficiently.
4.What part of the project did you do your best work on?
I work best in the part where we wrote the script, because I am quite confident about
how we should present what we wanted to tell the audience so I wrote most parts of it.
About the Project:
1.To what extent do you think the project has succeeded (1 is extremely unsuccessful;5
is extremely successful) ?
I think that I will give myself a 3, because that we finished it just in time, so that it
might not be perfect. As long as the audience understand what we want to express I
think that is is already very successful.
2.Give a brief description of the result of your project.
It is quite successful, we got our final video, and everything is good.
3.What was the most enjoyable part of this project?
Filming the video, because it was fun and we had some small laugh arounds.
4.What was the least enjoyable part of this project?
Writing Process Journal, it was hard work how you have to present the whole thing in a
booklet.
