A Walk to Remember

One of the projects we did in our NSTP is to explore one of the barangays
here at Manila. We had different places to choose from, but in the end we chose is
Brgy. San Diego Sampaloc Manila. Its a 10-15 minute walk from the University.
Before we chose the barangay, me and my group thought that this would be boring
for you just have to go around the barangay and check all the different landmarks.
But this changed when we did the project.
Brgy. San Diego is your normal everyday barangay. People working day and
night, street vendors who sell their items at the middle of a hot day, tricycle and
jeepney drivers who are roaming around just to find a passenger and students who
wake up early to attend classes. Well there is one thing that makes this barangay
special. It is their love for basketball and their faith in God. Why? Because when
we explored it, we found Chapels and Basketball courts on every street. They may
not be that big but they still symbolizes that the people here are devoted to not only
the sport but most importantly to our beloved God.
Though this barangay may not stand out at all, it still shows how people
gave importance to things even if they have different things to do. They may not be
the best, the richest or the cleanest barangay of all. But still they can prove their
faith and trust in God
