Objective:
I am working toward earning my degree and listed below are some internship related
opportunities I have attended. I plan to attain a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science at New
Mexico State Universtiy.

New Mexico State University Youth Ranch Management Camp 2012, 2015
United States Beef Academy 2012, 2015

These are two camps that I feel have really helped me choose a career path that I really want
to pursue. This was a camp that taught many aspects of ranching in concise weeks. They were
very rigorous and at times exhausting but in the end I learned so much about the ranching
lifestyle and possible careers in Agriculture and Animal Science that I feel really content with
the major that I have chosen. Most importantly it was meeting professionals in the Agriculture
and New Mexico State University Cooperative Extension Services. They taught us many things
and I think that is what I want to do. They taught with such passion and excitement, often times
talking about certain topics for hours and hours. I didnt mind, I loved hearing their stories and
how they found a career that made them truly happy. Also, this was a great time to expand and
get to know other students around my age to connect with. I still talk and keep in touch with
many of these individuals, we come together to discuss problems and seek opinions. These
camps have really helped me grow and I know now what Id like to pursue a career in thanks to
these individuals.

Many of these Achievements I have earned came with lots of responsibility and hard work.
Being a Crimson Scholar at New Mexico State University requires lots of time. You have to earn
a certain GPA. This has taught me that good grades and working hard in each of my classes
comes with great rewards. Being a Gold Member Blood Donor has taught me to keep up my
health at all times. Miss Indian New Mexico Teen has taught me how to be a leader and feel
comfortable speaking to individuals as well as large groups of people. It has helped me when it
comes to meeting new people for the first time.

Organizations:
NMSU Therapeutic Riding Association 2015
NMSU Destino 2015

Work:
Ranch Hand Acoma Cattle Growers Association 2010-2016
Theatre Technician Grants High School 2013-2014
My work experience is somewhat sparse. I have been a Ranch Hand for years but I only got paid
as a hand in the summer of 2015. Working with a crew taught me how to work on projects with
others and having to problem solve many things by myself. For instance, once I had to fix a
broken fence with no tools, so I improvised cutting branches and small trees to make a fence.
The next day I went back with proper tools and repaired it. It was a job that I had to complete in
a very short time frame. Working as a Theatre Technician has taught me how to run large
lighting and sound systems. This was something that I found interesting yet challenging at the
same time. This was a job that seemed out of my element, but it helped me become more
interested in the world of Theater Management.

Special Skills:
BQA Certified, fluent Keresan, driving a pick-up truck, hauling livestock, fixing fences,
conducting rangeland management surveys, public speaking, working with others.
I have many skills, other than the ones listed I am a great type and work well on computers. I am
proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, as well as working with other

software such as ProTools which is a music program that lets you edit, create, and play songs.
The other hobbies I have great skills in, and I am extremely proud of them, I have held a BQA
Certification since I was twelve and take great pride in my work. I make sure that the shots I
administer to livestock are safe, and done the right way every time.
