All of the students retained more than 80% of the new vocabulary. I would assign an individual practice activity so that I could circulate around the room and check independent work. If I were to teach again, I would spend less time acting out the story.

EDUC 450 TWS: 2 formal lessons/CEP lesson plans Teacher Evaluations CEP Lesson Plan 1 : Le comparatif :
Post Lesson Reflection :
1. To what extent were lesson objectives achieved? They were achieved. I looked at the data I collected and on a scale of 1-5 on the self-evaluation (1 being didnt understand) the scores showed that 3 students were at a 3 (average) 8 students at a 4 (above average) and 6 students were at a 5 (mastery). 2. 2. What changes, omissions, or additions to the lesson would you make if you were to teach again? I would assign an individual practice activity so that I could circulate around the room and check independent work and give support to the 2 students that I saw struggling during my formative testing (Sierra and Alexa). 3. What do you envision for the next lesson? I will start with a partner-centered warm up where they will talk about comparision of what activity they like to do more and less (Plus/Moins)
CEP Lesson 2: COLA Story for A Table Unite B
Post Lesson Reflection :
1. To what extent were lesson objectives achieved? All of the students retained more than 80% of the new vocabulary. Most of the assessments I did were visual and there were one or two students who had a harder time with the output but I was able to work with them when I circulated around the class when they were filling out their picture dictionaries and correct their gestures and re teach them the word. 2. 2. What changes, omissions, or additions to the lesson would you make if you were to teach again? I would spend less time acting out the story (mainly because I lost my voice being the narrator so many times!) and because the students started to lose interest and get bored. 3. What do you envision for the next lesson? The next lesson will start with a warm-up (two lines of students facing each other opponents! I say the vocab word in English and they quickly do the gesture and say the word in French. I will be able to assess for retention of vocab. Then we will break into groups of 3 and work on our story which they will see for the first time in print (theyve only heard it up to this point). Each student will read a line, translate it. continuation of COLA process for the next 2 weeks.
