Goal: To ask about personal information using wh-questions and possessive adjectives.
Objectives (SWBAT):
Students Will Be Able To
1. Review vocabulary for basic personal information.
2. Listen and write down the names and numbers they hear.
3. Use greetings and identify names using the different forms of possessive adjectives.
4. Write sentences giving personal information about themselves and others using the different
forms of possessive adjectives.
5. Identify and use wh-questions What and When.
6. Use the simple present tense of the copula be.
7. Identify and use the preposition in.

Activity 3: Hangman
vocabulary review

3.1 Pre-Stage:
T divides class into 3 teams.
T gives each team a marker.
T boards blank spaces for a vocabulary
word: first name, last name, area code,

phone number, zip code, country


3.2 During Stage:
Each team rotates through a different
person every turn.
Teams guess a letter in their turn until the
word is guessed.
The team that guesses the complete word
receives a point.

T goes over the instructions.
T passes out pictures of famous people to
Ss.
6.2 During Stage:
In pairs, Ss show each other the pictures.
They ask each other: Whats his/her first
name? Whats his/her last name? Whats
her phone number? Whats her birthday?
Ss should write down the information.
Encourage Ss to use How do you spell
that?
Ss need to ask each other questions and
tell each other the answers.
