I am sorry to hear that you are sick. Over the past few days, we have continued our
reading and discussion of Ethan Frome from Ch. 4 - 8. You will want to read those chapters and
complete the symbolism worksheet that focuses on Ch. 4 and 5. We have also discussed Zeenas
characterization and whether or not she cares about her marriage to Ethan. Completing the Ch. 7
homework question should help you start thinking about that topic. There are questions that go
along with Ch. 8 as well. We also took our reading quiz for the Prologue through Ch. 4, so you
will need to make that up at some point after vacation. Finally, I am including the vocabulary
lists for Ch. 5-8 as these will help you in your reading.
