Concealed Weapon
When people started to carry concealed weapons in the 1980s the crime rate dropped
(Concealed Weapons). Since 2013, all 50 states permitted people to carry hand guns if the
person had a concealed carry permit. Gun control effects would only have modest impacts on the
rate of gun violence. In the United States there are so many gun owners that no one will ever be
able to take the guns away from the hands of the people. There are an estimated 280 million to
300 million guns in private hands in the United States (Goldberg). Everyone should own a gun
and carry them concealed. Today the number of concealed carry permits is the highest it has ever
been at 8 million people (Gun Ownership). People want to feel protected so they carry a
concealed weapon. Ever since people started carrying concealed weapons, the homicide rate has
been the lowest it has ever been in four decades (Goldberg). If a person is scared of the way the
world is today, they need to buy a gun and carry a concealed weapon. Carrying a concealed
weapon not only protects yourself, but others around you. Gun control laws would only stop
some violence, but carrying a concealed weapon can stop all violence.
If a person meets all the requirements and does not have any felonies, they should be
allowed to get a concealed carry permit. Also, teachers should be allowed to carry a concealed
weapon because there are so many school shootings and people need to put a stop to this.

Perks 2
However, some places, such as banks and other federal buildings, prohibit people from carrying
a concealed weapon. If people were permitted to carry a gun in the bank and there was a robbery
about to happen, having a concealed weapon could potentially stop the situation from happening
and also save many lives. Also on college campuses there are a lot of violent shootings. If a
female on campus gets harassed, she could protect herself if she carried a concealed weapon.
People that are disabled could protect themselves better if they carry a concealed weapon.
So instead of there being a mass murder you just stopped something very bad from happening
and saved many lives. People think guns are bad but it is not the gun that kills people, it is people
that kill people. The way the world is people should want to carry a concealed weapon. There are
mass murders and bombings everyday going on somewhere around the world and people never
know when something bad like that could happen around them.
National Firearms Act of 1934 (26 USC 5801, was designed to make it more difficult to
acquire guns, especially dangerous gangster-type weapons such as machine gun, sawed off
shotguns, and silencers (Firearm). Machine guns hold up to 30 rounds which is how a lot of mass
murders happen. Pistols are good to carry because they only hold up to 15 rounds which is a
good capacity for guns to hold. They should not make guns that hold 30 rounds because there is
not a need for it. When mass murders happen they are usually using a gun that is semi and holds
a lot of rounds. People should have to go through a lot to buy machine guns. The sheriff has 45
days to conduct an investigation to determine an individuals eligibility to be issued a license.
Back ground checks conducted on the person getting the permit. The records of the person will
be determined if he or she gets to carry a concealed carry permit. An individual has to be 21 to be
able to get the gun carry permit.

Perks 3

In conclusion, gun control laws will not stop violence, but if a person carries a concealed
weapon, it could stop a lot crime. Gun control laws will not stop violence, but carrying a
concealed weapon will. If a person carries a concealed weapon they will be sure to be safe no
matter what enemy steps in the way. If a person feels they are weak or have an illness it gives
you all the more reason to carry a weapon to defend yourself.
