Other Activities
1:00-2:15 ABA Techs: Data collection refresher on DTT and ABC data. STEM Classroom (315) at
Memorial. Case management the remaining time.
Nurse screening data and RETELL
1:00-2:15 Google Guide training (technology teachers and library/media specialists) at Miscoe in
the computer lab. Remaining time used for DDM development and curriculum revisions.
1:00-1:30 Atlas curriculum mapping and assessment review for specialists (art, music, PE) in
technology lab at Memorial followed by curriculum mapping and DDM work
All other staff who are not involved Go Math! training (special education, OT/PT, counselors,
reading specialists, ELL) will work on DDM development or student transition/placement as
needed. 1:00-2:30 ES Counselors to Miscoe for placement with MS Counselor.

Goals
To complete Stage 1 curriculum design in Atlas
To complete Stage 2 assessment descriptions in Atlas
To develop, review, and revise common assessments
To identify or develop DDMs for use 2016-2017
Participants
With some exceptions (math department field trip, transition meeting
between grade 8-9), all departments will be working on the following choice
activities listed below. All of the activities are aligned to our strategic plans
of 1) publishing Stage 1 and Stage 2 of curriculum maps, 2) developing
common assessments, and 3) creating DDMs.
Choice Activities
Curriculum
q Complete Stage 1 in Atlas of Curriculum (for courses that are not yet
submitted for publication)
q Review Stage 1 in Atlas using the Quality Map Rubric (to finalize
submittal for publication)
Assessment
q Complete Stage 2 in Atlas of Assessments (for courses that are
published and do not yet have Stage 2 of Assessments completed)
q Develop, review, and revise common assessments
DDMs
q Identify and develop DDM (s) to use for 2016-2017
q Check assessment for quality using assessment quality review form
q Develop common procedures for assessment
q Develop common scoring tool (rubric/scoring criteria)
q Identify time period for assessment (pre-/post-assessment
times, portfolio length, benchmarks)
q Check DDM criteria using DDM requirement form
q Draft a potential student learning goal that will use the DDM for
2016-2017

Below are a list of resources to support the various projects taking place on the May 13th PD day.
Go Math!
The GoMath! materials (student and teacher materials) did not all arrive in time for distribution, therefore the
presenter and sales rep will be bringing samples of the following materials.
1. Chapter 1 Teachers guide
2. Planning Guide
3. Chapter 1 Resource booklet
4. Chapter 1 Student print edition
If you have a portable electronic device (iPad/laptop) there may be opportunity to log in and view the online materials.
You should have received an email from HMH with information and a link to log into your materials digitally.
Curriculum
11:45-12:15 High School Specialists Curriculum Overview: Maureen will be in the gathering room at Nipmuc to
meet with specialists (art, music, business, P.E.) on curriculum mapping to provide an overview on Atlas publishing
expectations and to answer questions.
12:30-12:50 Middle School Specialists Curriculum Check-in: Maureen will be in the teachers room at Miscoe to
check-in with specialists (art, music, P.E., world language) on curriculum mapping to check in on curriculum
mapping progress and next steps for publishing. Any other departments or teachers are welcome to stop in to get
assistance or ask questions.
