Jan06- feb07 worked as Merchandiser in WW Apparels India Pvt ltd, Coimbatore,
the liasion office of WW Group, UK, one of the leading importer having design studio,
warehousing facility in Leeds-Pudsey, catering to many renowned retailers. To name

JOB PROFILE
Co-ordination with buyer/designers for the new developments.
Evaluation of vendors viability as per the standards.
Developing and costing the samples.
Co-ordination sampling program and updates to the buyer about the developments, samples,
finishes to be given and the pre alerts about the bulk production, if any.
Confirmation of price/delivery schedules with the buyer taking into accounts of all
essentials.
Follow-up on the approvals at different stages like lab dips/print strike off/Desk loom and
production head ends, bulk fabric etc.,
Co-ordination with floor q.c on production planning.
Pre production meeting with the Q.C about fabric/trim sourcing and production planning.
Train and explain procedures, quality standards and specification analysis to the concerned
QA at factory.
Co-ordination with QA for the production planning like size sets, in-line and final
inspections.
Updates to the buyers on the orders/samples in pipeline on weekly basis.
Co-ordination with logistic department on LC transfers and shipping plans.
Co-ordination with shipping department of the factory and designated forwarder on the
shipping plans (like feeder/mother vessel details and dates) and updating the same with the
buyer.
Handled the merchandising of 40,000 50,000 pcs per month.
