Evidence (minutes in a bullet form from the feedback meeting where each
teacher shared how they applied the chapters content.)
N2 (GABY)
While Reading a book children recognized and found their initial letter
on the text
Using magnetic letters to form their name
Tracing their name on special transparent paper
Writing a word together by breaking it into sounds. Ex. H-A-U-S
N3 (MARIA)
Using clothing pins to put their names up
Copying their name on a special paper with the spacing lines. On the
top they have the sky, that means they dont have to fly over the top
line, on the bottom they have the sharks which means they cant go
under the line.
PK4 (SILVIA)
Teacher writes the name of a student on the board then she erases
some letters and children have to identify the missing letters and to
guess whose name is it
Using their mothers name to learn new letters. Children get engaged
with upper and lower case letters
PK 5 (AMANDA)
With their name, children start forming new words. They look for a
word that starts with each one of their letter names
K6 (PATTY)
Children play a sentence game card, but instead of reading the name
of the character they substitute their own name to feel more interested
in the activity

K7 (SARAH)
Each child has a card with a name of a relative. Then the teacher asks
whether the letter theyre studying is in that name. If they have it, they
will have to trace the letter with a different color. Then they count how
many letters they have
PK K8 (KARLA S.)
Matching the initials of their friends with the letters in their name.
Compare and relate the number of letters they have in their name and
then find a word that matches the same number. Ex. PAOLA 5 letters
and the Word PLANT have the same number of letters.
PK 9 (KARLA R.)
Using toothpicks and marshmallows to create their names. They also
use unifix cubes when writing each letter of their name and then count
the letters of their name
K10 (LAURA)
Each child drew and recorded the sound of a letter in order to create an
ABC book. This was a video that was sent to parents and its available
in the classroom iPad.
K11 (STEFANIE)
Using the morning helpers, children identify the word that shows the
activity of the helper
There is a special paper strip on the board and either children or
teacher will write morning messages and the class has to read it all
together
SPANISH (ALONDRA)
Children wrote their name on a piece of paper and it was cut out into
syllables to play with them
